We’ve Helped Patients Maintain or Restore Their Oral Health Since 2014
You already know, of course, that brushing and flossing your teeth is very important. But did you know it’s just as important to see a dentist regularly? That’s because your dentist can help protect you from very common health problems that afflict many millions of Americans. The consequences of tartar buildup, gum disease, or tooth decay might mean losing your natural teeth. With prompt treatment thanks to routine dental exams and checkups, you can ward off the consequences of these hazards.
The Importance of Routine Dental Exams & Checkups Can’t Be Denied
Having an ongoing doctor/patient relationship with your dentist should be a priority for you, even if you have dental-related anxiety. The American Dental Association recommends twice-yearly dental visits, or more frequently for those with gingivitis or periodontitis for periodontal maintenance (these are two forms of gum disease that can lead to tooth loss). The simple truth is seeing a dentist this often if your best bet to keeping those teeth. Neglecting your oral hygiene can have disastrous consequences, so it’s important to nip any potential problems in the bud by seeing your dentist at least once every 6 months.
What You Can Expect at Your First Bella Smiles Appointment
When you come to Bella Smiles, you can expect a clean, tidy office with a friendly staff. Our dental professionals are nonjudgmental and seek to calm any nerves you feel. Once you are ready, we take your dental and medical history and listen to your concerns. We encourage you to be honest about your at-home oral hygiene so we know how to help you best. Next, we will perform an assessment of your teeth and gums before recommending a treatment plan. Time permitting, you will have a teeth cleaning, unless you require a follow-up visit for a slightly longer appointment for deep cleaning.
To reach the team at Bella Smiles, please call (903) 668-0027. We offer emergency checkups on a limited basis, too.

"I’ve been here a few times now and had both fillings and pulled teeth, the dentist is always gentle, careful to make sure I’m completely numb, and considerate of my terrible fear of being here due to past bad experiences. They are great!"
